Bruce and Denise Morcombe are furious after roadside banners promoting a charity march and featuring an image of their murdered son, Daniel, were vandalized.

Mr Morcombe said two panels were graffiti, with the foundation’s logo, the date of the march and, strangely, Daniel’s eyes covered in red and green spray paint.

CCTV footage from across the highway shows a gray-haired bearded man who appears to be in his 60s or 60s vandalizing the banners with spray paint cans he keeps hidden under a rag.

‘We think [the vandalism] is really disturbing and… he needs to talk, ”Mr. Morcombe told the ABC.

“It was very focused, very deliberate on Daniel’s face. We are concerned about the damage and the vindictiveness behind it, ”he added.

CCTV also shows the man was driving an older model Suburu Forrester.

Mr. and Mrs. Morcombe filed a complaint with the police and transmitted the CCTV footage to them.

“This is not indiscriminate vandalism. It’s very focused, and the motives behind it need to be explored further, ”Mr. Morcombe said.

Queensland Police have confirmed they have opened an investigation into the incident.

“Police received a complaint about the vandalism of signs posted outside an educational facility in Woombye on October 7,” the spokesperson said.
